Soundset Music Festival is the largest Hip-Hop festival in the world and was started by Rhymesayers Entertainment in Minneapolis and takes place annually over Memorial Day weekend. Since its emergence in 2008 in the Metrodome parking lot, the audience has grown from 12,000 to 30,000 attendees in 2014. People have traveled from the 50 states and all over the world to experience Soundset Music Festival in Minnesota. The festival has had over 400 non-repeat performers since its emergence in 2008.

The Hip-Hop Festival will be back in town to turn up the heat celebrating its 12th year anniversary on May 26th 2019. Soundset creates a balanced blend of national hip-hop music combined with local talent across four different stages – Minneapolis Stage, St. Paul Stage, Atmosphere & Friends Stage, and Essential Elements. The festival will host over 40 different artists including Lil Wayne, G-Eazy, Taylor Bennett, DJ Keezy, Atmosphere, Black Star, and many more. In addition to these amazing artists, Soundset also features live painting, b-boy and b-girl dance competitions, skateboarding, additional local artist performances, and a custom car show.
