The Height of the Storm

The Height of the Storm is a play by Florian Zeller, directed by Jonathan Kent starring Jonathan Pryce and Eileen Atkins. The story revolves around an aged couple who refuses to separate even after one of them dies. Their lives have been filled with everyday pleasures and unfathomable mysteries of an ongoing marriage to which they don’t want to leave.

The play opened up at the Richmond Theatre on September 1, 2018, as part of a short UK tour where two legendary actors came together in an unforgettable story of shared life and its complexities. It opened up on Broadway on September 10, 2019, in previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre and produced by the Manhattan Theatre Club.

Jonathan Kent’s thrilling production has been declared as “a deeply moving new play that takes us to the edge of what it is to love” by The Times of London. The show is supported by the Laura Pels International Foundation for Theatre. Plan to watch the show where a loving relationship undergoes an inevitable change by a two-time Olivier and Tony Award winner Jonathan Pryce who joins a three-time Olivier Award winner Eileen Atkins.
