The Band’s Visit is a stage musical that rejoices in the way makes us laugh, cry, and ultimately brings us together. It is based on the 2007 Israeli film of the same name with music and lyrics by David Yazbek and book by Itamar Moses.

The Band’s Visit portrays the Arab-Israeli conflict in a way never seen before. In this offbeat story, a band of Egyptian musicians arrives in Israel to perform a concert but winds up stranded in the ‘nowhere’ spot. The locals take them in for a night when there is no bus till morning and no hotels available. The lives of these unlikely travelers and locals become intertwined. The band brings the town to life in unexpected ways with their beautiful music.

The musical opened up on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on November 2017 and received critical acclaims. Its off-Broadway production won several major awards, including the 2017 Obie Award for Musical Theatre.
