Rainbow Kitten Surprise

Rainbow Kitten Surprise, also known as RKS stopped by Paramount Theatre in Seattle on May 31st, 2019. Seattle was just one stop on their 45 day sold-out tour. The band’s unique blend of indie, folk, hip-hop and unique ‘RKS’ sound is rapidly moving the small-joint, small-town college band to fame.

The catchy named everyone wonders about was born in a hospital room while band mates were visiting a friend. The quintet formed in 2013 while attending college and their first album was recorded in their university dorm room. Fast forward to 2019 and the talents are headlining nationwide to sold out shows. Their most recent album ‘How to: Friend, Love, Freefall’ contains the hit single ‘Fever Pitch’ which climbed the charts to 34 in 2018.

The band members’ charisma and frontman Sam Melo’s agile vocal chords (which includes rapping) and agile foot work on stage connect with fans. It’s music that’s hard to describe but just sounds and makes sense musically.

Their performance is energetic and not to be missed. Watch a clip from their Seattle Show below:
